We are proud to announce that our blog, oneSTEPcloser, has completed one year this week.
Be it learning articles on funding, government schemes, budget or covering stories of inspiring people in the startup ecosystem through our “In conversation with” and “Shaktipreneur in Spotlight” series, our aim through this blog has always been to cover those topics which can help the womenpreneurs to learn, grow and inspire.
This will be the 50th article on our blog.
To make this issue unique and special, we are putting the spotlight on 50 women entrepreneurs from India who inspired us.

Falguni Nayar is the Founder of Nykaa, the one-stop destination for cosmetics and other beauty range. When Nykaa launched its IPO in October 2021, it made Falguni India’s richest self-made female billionaire, with a net worth of $6.5 billion.
2. Divya Gokulnath (Co-founder, Byjus)
Divya Gokulnath is the co-founder and director of the educational technology and online tutoring firm, ‘BYJU’S – The Learning App’, based in Bangalore. A recent report states that Byju Raveendran and Divya Gokulnath have been ranked 46th on an India Rich List and have amassed a net worth of $3.05 billion (approximately INR 22.3 thousand crores) in 2020.
3. Ghazal Alagh (Co-founder, MamaEarth)
Ghazal Alagh is the co-founder and CIO of Honasa Consumer, which runs personal care and toddler care D2C brand Mamaearth, has become India’s first unicorn startup of 2022.
4. Upasana Taku (Founder, Mobikwik)
Upasana is the Founder of Mobikwik—an easy replacement for the wallet. MobiKwik is the first-ever truly Indian payments app with an option to access digital credit and deliver a better & financially secure future to millions of Indians.
5. Radhika Ghai Aggarwal (Co-founder, Shopclues.com)
Radhika Ghai Aggarwal is the Co-founder of online marketplace ShopClues established in 2011 in the Silicon Valley. She is an Internet entrepreneur and India’s first woman to enter the Unicorn Club.
6. Richa Kar (Co-founder, Zivame)
Richa Kar is the Co-founder of a successfully established online lingerie store Zivame. The company was founded on 2011.
7. Suchi Mukherjee (Founder, Limeroad)
Suchi is the Founder and CEO of Limeroad—a social commerce site for the urban woman. Limeroad has combined the fun of picking clothes from a magazine-like layout with the convenience of an online portal.
8. Isha Choudhry (Co-founder, ZoloStays)
Isha Choudhry co-founded the company ZoloStays. ZoloStays strives to beat the common hassles faced while searching for a paying guest accommodation or apartment. It provides for affordable yet comfortable living options.
9. Rati Shetty (Bankbazaar.com)
Rati is the Co-founder and Chief Product Officer of BankBazaar. The aim of BankBazaar is to offer easy, hassle-free and qualitative experiences.
10. Sheetal Ramkumar (Founder, WhiteGlobe)
Sheetal Ramkumar, the Founder, and CEO of WhiteGlobe, is a ferocious entrepreneur who is leading in the Language Service Provider Industry (LSPI) in India. White Globe is a leading Translation and Localisation Services Company.
11. Aditi Gupta (Co-founder, Menstrupedia)
Aditi Gupta is the Co-founder of Menstrupedia—a platform working towards breaking the taboo around menstruation.
12. Shradha Sharma (Founder, YourStory media)
Shradha Sharma is the Founder and CEO of YourStory. YourStory Team brings people stories of entrepreneurs and change-makers, funding analyses, resource pieces and the first glimpse of emerging trends from India’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.
13. Priyanka Gill (Founder, The Good Glamm group)
Priyanka Gill is the Co-founder of The Good Glamm Group and Founder and CEO of Plixxo and PopXO. The Good Glamm Group entered the coveted unicorn club last year.
14. Ruchi Kalra (Co-founder, OfBusiness)
Ruchi is the Co-founder of OfBusiness, a Gurugram based B2B startup which was among the few startups which attained the unicorn status.
15. Ruchi Deepak (Co-founder, Acko Insurance)
Ruchi Deepak is the Co-founder and director of Acko Insurance. Insurance provider Acko has become the 34th startup to enter the unicorn club in India this year and is the second insurtech startup to be valued at more than $1 billion.
16. Sairee Chahal (Founder, SHEROES)
Sairee Chahal has established the platform SHEROES with an idea to help women get ‘more from life’—from careers and jobs to health, family life, and wellbeing.
17. Chitra Gurgani Dhaga (Co-founder, Thrillophilia)
Chitra Gurgani Dhaga is the Co-founder of Thrillophilia, an Indian adventure travel company that curates the best local experiences with hand-picked guides and vendors to expand your journey into something offbeat and super fun.
18. Ashwini Asokan (Co-founder, Mad Street Den)
MAD is an Artificial Intelligence and Computer Vision company. It is building an AI Architecture of the future. They use Artificial Intelligence to get any smartphone with a camera to identify faces, detect facial expressions and emotions, and react to facial gestures.
19. Sugandha Agarwal (Founder, Docttocare)
Sugandha established Docttocare an online healthcare service provider that provides information to its users about the best doctors, clinics, hospitals, and diagnostic centers. Docttocare also offers virtual walkthroughs of the hospitals and their facilities.
20. Ankita Ghaba (Founder, Social Samosa)
Ankita founded Social Samosa, an Indian Social Media Knowledge Storehouse which tends to provide hands-on experienced and professional services running in various social media projects and campaigns by virtue.
21. Manisha Raisinghani (Co-founder and CTO, LogiNext)
Manisha serves as the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and Co-founder at LogiNext Solutions. LogiNext designs logistics management software that trails the workforce in real-time on a single map dealings.
22. Pooja Goyal (Co-founder and COO, Avishkaar)
Pooja is the Co-founder of Avishkaar. The edtech startup has developed a combination of hardware, software, curriculum, and communities to provide curated experiences to schools and children alike.
23. Megha Gambhir (Co-founder and CEO, Stupa Sports Analytics)
Megha s the Co-founder and CEO of Stupa Sports, a video analytics sports platform, that is helping table tennis players improve their performance.
24. Nupur Khandelwal (Co-founder, Navia Life care)
Navia Life Care is a Delhi-based digital health startup, with a mission to empower the health ecosystem with innovative platforms for improving the standard of care and health outcomes across the world.
25. Pooja Rao (Co-founder, Qure.ai)
Qure.ai is a Mumbai-based healthtech startup led by Pooja Rao, a doctor who is also a data scientist. The startup aims to make diagnostic imaging like X-rays and MRIs affordable and accessible.
26. Khushboo Jain (Co-founder. ImpactGuru.com)
Khushboo Jain co-founded the crowd-funding platform ImpactGuru.com along with Piyush Jain in 2014. The company has a mission to aid patients suffering from critical illnesses by seeking crowd funding solutions.
27. Jaya Jha (Co-founder, InstaScribePothi)
Jaya Jha is the co-founder of InstaScribePothi.com alongside her partner, Abhaya Agarwal. While Pothi.com is a publishing platform, InstaScribe helps people create professional e-books.
28. Neeru Sharma (Co-founder, Infibeam)
Neeru is the Co-founder of Infibeam, which is India’s first listed e-commerce entity which also offers web service and payment solutions.
29. Ankiti Bose (Co-founder, Zilingo)
Zilingo is a Singapore based technology and e-commerce platform in the fashion industry founded in 2015 by Ankiti Bose and Dhruv Kapoor. Zilingo is on a path to become the next unicorn.
30. Prukalpa Shankar (Founder, Atlan)
Founded in 2018 by Prukalpa Sankar and Varun Banka, Atlan strives to create a home for data teams to let the companies democratize both internal and external data.
31. Vani Kola (Founder, kalaari Capital)
Vani Kola is the founder and Managing Director of Kalaari Capital is focused on investing in an early stage on the technology-oriented companies across India.
32. Ankita Vashistha (Founder, Saha Fund)
Ankita Vashistha is the founder and chief executive ffficer of India’s (and Asia’s) first venture capital fund, Saha Fund. Saha Fund promotes and invests in women-led ventures and firms making strides in technology and innovation.
33. Anjana Reddy (Founder, Universal Sportsbiz)
Anjana is the founder and CEO of USPL. USPL is a leading celebrity-endorsed branded apparel company.
34. Anisha Singh (Founder, Mydala.com)
Anisha Singh is known for co-founding Mydala, an e-commerce platform. Mydala is a merchant marketing platform that helps businesses get users with almost no upfront cost. She recently founded She Capital, an early-stage fund investing in women-led or women-centric ventures with high growth potential.
35. Debadutta Upadhyaya (Founder, Timesaverz and Digisance)
Debadutta founded Timesaverz, an online portal that helps people find solutions to their handyman problems. It assists homemakers with house repairs.
36. Geetha Kannan (Founder, Wequity Women in Technology)
Wequity was founded by the Voice of Women in Tech, Geetha Kannan. Wequity comes with a team of experts specifically in the area of equity, equality, parity and inclusion of women in tech and their key enablers.
37 & 38. Niveda Harishankar and Madhumitha Harishankar (Co-founders, Nume Crypto)
Niveda Harishankar and Madhumitha Harishankar co-founded Nume Crypto in 2020 to build a real-time, pay-as-you-go model for mobile data usage.
39 & 40. Anisha Dossa and Anusha Ramakrishnan (Co-founders, Jify)
A fintech startup founded by entrepreneurs Anisha Dossa and Anusha Ramakrishnan, Mumbai-based Jify operates on the B2B2C model. With the goal to turn every borrower in the country into a saver, it will offer educational content to nudge its users into saving based on their financial capacity.
41. Srividhya Ramaratnam (Co-founder, Findeed)
Co-founded by Srividhya Ramaratnam and Sriram Shankar in 2019, Findeed provides low to mid-income Indian families access to formal credit with simple and fair collateral-free loans.
42. Tanushree Nagori (Co-founder, Doubtnut)
The edtech startup by Tanushree Nagori and Aditya Shankar, Doubtnut is leveraging technology to help every student with instant answers and explanations to all their study questions.
43. Gazal Kalra (Founder, Rivigo)
Gazal Kalra co-founded Rivigo, a Gurugram-based logistics startup, whose goal is to solve the problem of truck driver shortage and making transport safe, more efficient and human.
44. Bhavna Suresh (Co-founder, 10club)

Kanti Prabha is the Chief Operating Officer and the Co-founder at SirionLabs whose core objective has been to help enterprises meet their business commitments by changing how they manage contracts, collaborate with counterparties, and minimize risk exposure.
